Location
The Ranch is located just 15 miles from Yellowstone Park, and 35 miles west of Cody on Route 14-16-20. The cabins are nestled at the intersection of Blackwater Creek and the North Fork of the Shoshone River in the valley Teddy Roosevelt once called "The most scenic 50 miles in America."

Blackwater Creek Ranch features some of the West's most breathtaking scenery. It's located in America's first National Forest, and just minutes away from Yellowstone National Park. This is the land that our forefathers set aside especially for your enjoyment.

Accommodations
You will stay in an authentic western cabin, rustic from its 1930's vintage. Some of the cabins have fireplaces and for your comfort, all have been updated with modern plumbing and heating for the cool mountain evenings.
The summer days at 7,000 feet are quite pleasant. You will enjoy cool evenings by the fireplace in our lodge, and warm days of 70's and 80's making your time in the saddle an unforgettable adventure. Riding and ranch activities are well planned for your enjoyment and will present you with a balanced variety of western experiences.

Amenities
Horseback riding is our specialty and rides vary in length and location. All rides take you into the spectacular Absaroka mountains and along its creeks which surround the Ranch. You'll be guided by our wranglers and enjoy the security of our experienced mountain horses. Every guest is assigned a horse according to the guest's riding ability.

Ranch life around our modern lodge is friendly and fun. Games and barbecues, cowboy singalongs, hiking and just plain goofing off make this a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation. Take a refreshing dip in our heated swimming pool, or 14 person hot tub. Our recreation room offers you a chance to test your skills at Pool or Ping-Pong. There are no "musts" at Blackwater. We are here to make this the vacation of your dreams. Soak up the surrounding beauty from your cabin porch and search the mountainside for wildlife, or take a nap under a pine tree. Test your skills at some of the finest fishing with both Blackwater Creek and the North Fork of the Shoshone River almost within the casting distance of your cabin.

Meals
At Blackwater nobody goes hungry, as our hearty ranch style meals are some of the finest in the West. Some of the delicious Western meals will take place around the campfire, among the wildflowers on a rolling hillside, while another will be at 10,000 feet, where you are surrounded by a vista of majestic snow-capped peaks.
