Edgewood Manor B&B

Edgewood Manor B&B, Bunker Hill, West Virginia Edgewood Manor, an elegantly restored red brick home, is listed on the National Register of Historical Homes. It was built circa 1839 by General Elisha M. Boyd. Filled with a rich and exciting historical past, its white columned portico welcomed numerous foreign dignitaries, statesmen, and high-ranking officers during the War Between the States. Edgewood Manor extends that same gracious warmth, hospitality and elegance to its guests today.

Location
The grounds of Edgewood Manor provide a serene and beautiful setting where you can retreat into the comfort and tranquility of the West Virginia countryside. Stroll amid peaceful ponds or by the stream. Wander down an ancient carriage path to a secluded grove where you may find that perfect, intimate spot for an afternoon picnic which the Manor will prepare upon request. Garden benches, hammocks, and porch swings will entice you to relax, linger and embrace a slower pace of life. Bunker Hill is well situated for exploring. Less than an hour away history beckons with Gettysburg, Antietam, Harper's Ferry, Bellgrove and Oatlands Plantations, the C&O Canal, the majestic Shenandoah Valley and the beautiful Potomac River. The racetrack at Charlestown awaits those feeling lucky, The Appalachian Trail affords great exercise, exquisite scenery and abundant wildlife; while Baltimore, Washington D.C. and the Skyline Drive are within easy access via car or train. White water rafting, fly fishing, and golf are all only minutes away. Cross-country and downhill skiing within an hour's drive at Massanutten Mountain Resort or Bryce Resort.
