Steeles Tavern Manor Country Inn

This Georgian Manor Home was built by the Steeles descendants in 1916 and under went extensive restoration by Eileen & Bill Hoernlein in 1994. They opened its doors as a highly rated Inn completing the circle.

Buckley Moss Museum, Andre Viette Farm & Nursery, Canoe & Kayaking, Virginia Horse Center, Washington & Lee, VMI & Lime Kiln Theater. Ten minutes from "Drive In Movie", Springdale Water Gardens, Wade's Mill, Buffalo Springs Herb Farm, Rockbridge Vineyard & Blue Ridge Parkway.

"Four course candlelight dinners are served in the dining room. Eileen uses fresh local ingredients, preferably from Bill's garden. Virginia award winning wines are available. Execution and presentation are of the finest quality and alone worth the trip,"

Dine with candlelight and fresh flowers: four course dinner on Saturday; three course dinners during the week. We also offer to enhance your evenings with a bottle from our selection of Virginia award winning wines.


In addition to our dining room, we have added tables and chairs to our porch for pleasurable breakfasts or for our picnic basket dinner. Or dine while watching the sun set behind the mountains from your place by the stream, the pond or your room.
