The Beaufort Inn

Built in 1897 as a second-home by a prominent Hampton (SC) attorney, the home was later sold to become one of Beaufort's first boarding houses. After changing hands again in the early 1930's the home was renovated and opened as "The Beaufort Inn", catering to military and government officials, business travelers and vacationing families from the uplands seeking the sea-breezes and seafood of the Lowcountry.

Location
The Beaufort Inn is located in the heart of the downtown Historic District. Beaufort is one of only three National Historic Landmark Districts in the state of South Carolina. This historic area is also famous for championship golf (well over 50 courses within a 45 minute drive), wonderful beaches, tennis, horseback riding and ecological tours of the Lowcountry's famous marsh islands and estuaries.

Accommodations
13 beautiful guest rooms. 45 seat romantic gourmet restaurant. The fountained piazzetta is ideal for a small al fresco wedding service. Larger weddings, receptions, banquets and gatherings of 200 plus are accommodated in our Garden Courtyard directly behind the Inn under a tented pavillion.

Within a short walk to the "Old Point" neighborhood, carriage tours, antique stores, gift shops, museums, sidewalk and waterfront cafes, boating, fishing and the Waterfront Park along the Beaufort River.
