A Country Victorian Bed and Breakfast Circa 1890, land of scenic lakes and waterfalls, located in the high foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Guests enjoy relaxing in wooden rockers and wicker furniture on the large wrap-around porch and taking in the beautiful mountain and lake views of the surrounding area. In the winter, toasty fireplaces in the cottages, parlor and dining room create a cozy ambiance.
Location
Sunrise Farm Bed & Breakfast is located on 10-acres in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills of northwest South Carolina. The farm is the last part of an early 1900s 1,000-acre cotton plantation. Area attractions include mountain hiking, whitewater rafting, trout fishing, waterfalls, clear lakes for fishing and boating, skiing, scuba diving, birdwatching, sight-seeing, golfing, Clemson University, museums and many state parks. Guests can also enjoy the farm pets - Lady and Sunshine - the miniature horses, Muffin - the pot-bellied pig, Elvis and Priscilla - the pygmy goats, Casey and Desi - the llamas, and Ginger, Oreo, and Magic Mittens - the barn kitties.
Accommodations:
Guest rooms in the Main House, The June Rose Garden Cottage and The Corn Crib are nicely appointed with period antiques, queen/king beds, thick quilts, extra pillows, and family heirlooms. Large windows frame pastoral and mountain views. Private baths. All accommodations have central air/heat, ceiling fans, televisions/VCRs.
Amenities:
The northwest corner of South Carolina is known as South Carolina's Freshwater Coast because of over 1,000 miles of shoreline on Lakes Keowee, Hartwell and Jocassee. The area is a haven for fishermen, boaters, hikers, birdwatchers and nature lovers.
Meals:
Rooms in the Main House include a delicious homemade country breakfast, featuring all-natural and some organic ingredients, served in the dining room with china and silver. Snacks and evening refreshments are available.
