Castle Hill Inn and Resort

Guest quarters at Castle Hill retain the warmth and quiet luxury of 19th century seacoast life. Built in 1874 as a summer home for Harvard Marine biologist Alexander Agassiz, Castle Hill has been one of Newport's most charming landmarks for over a century. Since the 1800's many have found that the lawn at Castle Hill is an ideal place to watch the regatta on Narragansett Bay.

Castle Hill Inn, is situated on a forty-acre peninsula at the west end of Newport's world-renowned Ocean Drive It offers guests the romance, seclusion and extraordinary beauty of a private oceanfront resort. An elegantly restored Victorian Mansion, the private Harbor Houses, a Swiss-style Chalet, and the Beach Cottages nestled along the coastline provide an enchanting and relaxing escape.

Accommodations in the the romantic Harbor House present breathtaking views, whirlpool tubs, king-sized beds, fireplaces and French doors opening to a semi-private deck overlooking Narragansett Bay. The Chalet Conference suite and quarters offer privacy and a unique setting for intimate gatherings, while the Chalet lawn, with sweeping views of the bay, is a perfect setting for large functions and events.
