Alexander's Inn

Diane and Larry Muentz have for the last twenty years owned and operated Alexander's Inn as an intimate Victorian Seaside Bed and Breakfast Inn and Restaurant.

Built as a private home in the heart of the Cape May in 1883, Alexander's is beautifully restored and authentically furnished to recreate the elegant Victorian Lifestyle. Home-like atmosphere, Victorian style, means that guests choose the luxury of a gourmet breakfast served to their room in the morning or on the veranda and afternoon tea with fresh baked treats presented in the parlor.

Location
Ideal downtown location in Cape May's Primary Historic District, Alexander's Bed & Breakfast Inn is within easy walking distance of the beach and the Victorian Washington Street Mall shopping area. Within the block Inn guests will find trolley tours, walking tours, horse carriage rides, beautiful shops, bicycle rentals, the Colonial House Museum, the Fire House Museum and several churches.

Accommodations
The Inn offers eight guest rooms all comfortably restored in Victorian style with antiques and details to recreate the elegance of the Victorian era, but with all the twentieth century conveniences that enhance modern travel and safety. For more than twenty years Larry and Diane have collected the finest of Victorian antiques that make each guest room a unique and distinctive experience. Modern conveniences include state of the art fire detection and sprinkler system, private baths, TV/VCR, telephone, individual room heating and cooling, off street parking, hair dryers, bathrobes and Cape May beach passes. The innkeepers live on site to personally welcome you.

Amenities
During the summer we loan Cape May City beach tags with a $15 refundable deposit per tag. Bicycle storage available and outside shower and changing room available even after checkout to enjoy your last perfect day at Cape May's beach.

French inspired cuisine masterfully prepared by Chef Diane Muentz is served by tuxedoed waiters amidst the silver, crystal, linen and lace in our elegant 1883 Dining Room and Solarium Porch. Nationally acclaimed gourmet dining and award winning service are the hallmarks of Alexander's Inn.

Meals
Breakfast is served at 9:00 AM on the Solarium, on the outside verandah or a private romantic breakfast in your room. Afternoon tea is served in the parlor at 4:30 PM, and off street parking is provided. On Sunday, instead of breakfast, an elegant five course Sunday Brunch is served in our dining room.
