Location
The Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Approximately 2 1/2 hours drive equidistant from Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, & Knoxville, TN and 1 1/2 hour from Greenville/Spartanburg, SC and Asheville, NC.

Atlanta's Hartfield International-2 hours & 45 minutes.

Highlands is a unique mountain resort town located in the extreme Southwestern corner of North Carolina. The town is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains at 4,118 feet above sea-level. Surrounding mountains soar to heights of 5,000 feet allowing a cool refreshing summer climate where the temperature rarely exceeds 78 degrees. The Nantahala National Forest is botanically and geologically recognized as one of the most unique locations in the world. The year-round population of Highlands is approximately 3,000 while the summer population increases to about 26,000 people drawn here to enjoy the cool climate, sophisticated culture, and diversity of activities. Accommodations
The Kelsey & Hutchinson Lodge offers 33 individually decorated rooms that allow a choice of accommodations to suit you great escape needs. For romantic weekends, we suggest the country elegance of The Lee House or the rustic charm of The Cottages or Terrace & Garden Rooms.
The Lee House accommodates check in, concierge, commons area, private business/social rooms, and gift shop. The upper level features our deluxe rooms with outside entrance offering private balconies with view, king beds, sleeper sofas, whirlpools and gas fireplaces.
The Cottage Rooms, with their cozy rocking chairs on the front porch each room features king, queen or two double beds and the potential of adjoining rooms. Each Cottage room has its own gas fireplace and many have whirlpools.
The Garden & Terrace Rooms open to a covered porch with rocking chairs. Some of these rooms have gas fireplaces and whirlpools.
The Chestnut House will be appreciated by those traveling with a family who desires home-like accommodations. The Chestnut House features two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two double beds, two baths, a complete kitchen with washer/dryer, dining room and living room with wood-burning fireplace.

The Lodge, located two blocks from the boutiques and fine dining restaurants of Main Street Highlands, offers thirty-three rooms, all with private bathrooms, data ports and rocking chair front porches or balconies and most with gas fireplaces and whirlpools. The common area of the Lee Lodge provides a homelike ambiance for our continental breakfast and evening wine and cheese social. Sitting around the wood burning fireplace meeting new friends is an every evening occurrence at the Lodge.
Our conference room complete with fireplace will accommodate meetings or retreats for up to 50 people. Concierge and meeting planner services are available. On site Adventure Depot can arrange mountain adventures including rock climbing, rappelling, canoeing/kayaking, white water rafting, fly fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding or llama trekking. Golf tournaments or outing can be arranged as can spouse or children activity programs.
The Lodge offers resources for team building programs, wine education and the art of corporate entertaining seminars.

Fine Dining: For those with a sophisticated palate, you will be thrilled with the wonderful choice of fine dining restaurants available, many within walking distance of the Kelsey & Hutchinson Lodge.
