Birdseye Bed & Breakfast

To experience the West, you have to touch it, smell it, taste it......listen to all it's sounds. Sit on a fresh bale of hay and smell the sweet hay aroma. Hold a fresh, warm egg in the palm of your hand. Feed an angora goat. Pet a llama and feel this ancient critter's peace with the universe. You can experience all this.....and more.....during your stay at Birdseye B&B, a potpourri of the senses. If you're weary from a dusty day's drive, sit on the porch
and count the endless chain of mountain ranges that form a backdrop for the grazing llamas and goats. Or if you're all fired up with energy and "rare'n to go," bring your hiking boots or mountain bike and climb a mountain.

Location
Birdseye B&B is located 8 miles from Helena and 2 miles up a mountain road. Visiting our ranch is like finding the proverbial "gold at the end of the rainbow." Birdseye is a working fiber ranch. By fiber, I'm referring to the wool from llamas, cashmere goats and angora goats. We offer 5 rooms with comfortable beds..... and a view from the bedrooms "that'll knock your socks off (and your boots). The night view of the city of Helena, down in the valley, is worth bringing your camera and some fast film so you can take advantage of those fantastic night shots. It's like making your own postcard. Summer or winter, the view is equally breath-taking.

Accommodations
Birdseye is a spacious farm house with oversize bedrooms. We offer 5 guest bedrooms....4 of them with multiple beds. Even with more beds in each room, there is plenty of floor space for doing your morning exercises. Our rooms are named for people out of local history.

Meals
Come morning, enjoy fresh eggs, along with other home-made goodies at a hearty country breakfast. Grab your coffee cup and visit the art gallery or go out on the porch and watch the sun say "Howdy" to the mountains.

Activities/Amenities
Birdseye ranch is built into the side of a mountain. The awe-inspiring view leaves one a little "heady" with the visual knowledge that we are all part of so vast a universe. A communion with nature is set into motion that remains a part of us for a long time. "Truisms" speak through the eyes of children. My granddaughter said, "When I spend time at the ranch and then go into town, the traffic noise jars my mind." We all seek peace.
