Inn St Gemme Beauvais

The Inn St. Gemme Beauvais is the oldest continuously operated Bed and Breakfast in Missouri. The Inn maintains the splendor of the past with period decor while adding contemporary luxuries in each room. Upon approaching the wide veranda leading to the front porch, one cannot help but have their eyes drawn toward the six tall pillars that grace the front of this three-story brick colonial mansion. After entering the front door your senses are inundated. The four-armed brass chandelier dating back to 1849 located in the foyer demands you immediate attention. The sounds of soft classical music play gently in the background while the smell of fresh baked goods lingers in the air.

Location
Surrounding the inn is the city of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. The oldest settlement in Missouri, "Ste Gen", as it is fondly referred to, is steeped in history. Founded in 1735, it is home to the oldest brick building west of the Mississippi River and three of the French vertical log homes of which there are only a handful throughout the United States. The Inn St. Gemme Beauvais is located in the heart of the historic district. The streets of this area are lined with antique shops and craft boutiques. The area also has nearby golf, tennis, and hiking trails at Hawn State Park. Currier & Ives. Located on the first floor, this suite with a large sitting room is painted in a peaceful light blue with wallpaper and antique decorations to match. Wings. Also located on the first floor, this suite is tastefully done with an angelic theme. This room has double beds, an adjoining sitting area and a private bathroom with shower. Room rate per night $99.00.
Governor's Chambers. Located on the top of the stairway on the second floor, this stately suite has an expansive sitting area and extra large bedroom with two Eastlake queen size beds. A built in bookcase and testers over the beds add a special touch to this large suite. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower and a whirlpool bath. Room rate per night $134.00.
Forever Summer. This light and airy suite is decorated in warm blues and whites. Wicker furniture adds to the serenity and feel of summer. A king size bed graces the bedroom. The oversized bathroom includes a double jacuzzi tub and separate shower. This room is often utilized as a bridal suite. Room rate per night $154.00.
The Garden. Decorated in floral and stripes, The Garden is a large suite with a queen size, high back carved bed. The sitting area has an antique vanity with sink and a Murphy bed. The private bath includes a shower. Room rate per night is $99.00.
Memories. Overlooking Main Street, this suite brings back childhood memories. A Raggedy Ann doll, toy tractor, and antique radio grace this room. Included is a queen size bed and a private bathroom with shower. Room rate per night $99.00.
Hunter's Glen. Tucked under the eaves on the third floor, this suite contains a small sitting, queen size bed, and private bath with shower. Room rate per night $89.00.
Grandma's Attic. As the name implies, you get the sense that you have stumbled into your grandmother's special place. This room is also nestled on the third floor. A queen size bed and private bathroom with shower await you. A small quiet sitting area is provided also. Room rate per night $89.00.
The Carriage House. Truly the jewel of The Inn St. Gemme Beauvais. This former garage provides its guests with a kitchenette, complete with coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator and sink. Dinnerware is also provided. Entering the bedroom you encounter a raised four poster king size bed covered in plush fine linen. A 19 inch TV and VCR are available for your use. The ability to dim the lighting, the ceiling fan over the bed, and the fireplace in the corner all add to the ambiance. The extra large private bathroom is equipped with a double-jacuzzi tub with shower, heat lamps and lighting that may be dimmed to create an even more romantic atmosphere. Meals
There is a small common kitchenette and dining area on the second floor providing guests with a stocked refrigerator, coffee maker, coffees, teas and snacks all available on an honor basis. Included in your stay is High Tea at approximately 3:00PM providing teas and breads/cookies, wine and hors d'oeuvers in the evening, and a full breakfast.

Janet Joggerst, the innkeeper at The Inn St. Gemme Beauvais, serves up a delicious and extremely satisfying breakfast. Assorted breads, quiches, egg dishes, and a savory stuffed French Toast dish are among some of the choices you will have to make. Add to this your choice of coffee, teas, juices, and milk. The temptation to taste everything is almost overwhelming, but be assured, Janet isn't satisified until you are. She has received awards for her hospitality and service of over 19 years to the Inn St. Gemme Beauvais.
