A 1927 built Tudor-style riverside mansion on 15 acres. Rolling countryside with 2 miles of nature (xc skiing in the winter) trails along the Grand River and through woods. A 3 room suite and master bedroom are in the cottage complete with pool and fireplace sitting room. Six bedrooms in the Inn find fireplaces, dining rooms, and walnut-paneled pub for cocktails, or pints of English ale. Location This palatial twenty-three-room Tudor mansion set on a hilltop overlooking the Grand River, fifteen miles south of Lansing. Golf at the nine-hole Bonnie View located across from the inn, or the eighteen-hole Branson Bay, just three miles north. Also, shopping in Eaton Rapids, Lansing, East Lansing, and Okemos. Accommodations There are six bedrooms, all with private baths in the main house, each named for an English town or county, and the Windsor Suite, named for Britain's royal family. The suite features an imported pink marble fireplace. Ivy Cottage and Honeysuckle Cottage each offer accommodations for one to four people. Climb the center entrance staircase and find a cozy four-poster bed in any of six floral bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, telephone, and television. Amenities Built for the first president of Oldsmobile in 1927, this "small hotel," as Rhodes calls it, is a warm and comfortable place for guests looking for a private, relaxed atmosphere. A high ceiling adorned with magnificent designs looms over a forty-foot mahogany-paneled dining room, Tudor-style windows, and a baronial fireplace. The inn's furnishings, many of which came with the estate, are an eclectic blend of antiques and reproductions.
