For horses traveling with their people, The Barn provides turnout paddocks. Silver Springs Farm is listed on the Survey of Historic Sites in Kentucky. The farm operated as a distillery from 1867 to prohibition. We don't make bourbon today, but the old springhouse still stands and the spring provides water for the horses and garden. Feel free to relax on the formal brick patio, snooze in the hammock, enjoy the sunset from an oak swing, read in front of a cozy fire, amble through the perennial gardens, play croquet, pick watercress from the historic spring, or just plain "wander around". After all, this is your home away from home.
