Kia'i Kai Bed & Breakfast
HC 3 Box 10064
Keaau, HI 96749
This secluded retreat is surrounded by breathtaking natural wonders, yet is minutes from restaurants, theatres, and shops. We invite you to join us at Kia`i Kai (key-ah-e-kye) where relaxation and the pure enjoyment of paradise are our goal. Our Guest Rooms front the Pacific Ocean across a sparkling black lava lanai, sculpted by Pele, Goddess of the Volcanoes, and creatively enhanced with oceanside Hot Tub and secluded sitting and sunning nooks. Watch the dolphins and turtles play, and see visiting whales in the winter months.
Location
Watch a sunrise, or a moonrise, over the ocean. Even the stars here seem bigger and brighter, especially from the oceanside Hot Tub! Watch whales frolic in the winter months, or dolphins spin and somersault all year round. Should total relaxation be more than you can take, then just a few minutes away are volcanoes, botanical gardens, hot ponds, lava trees, mountain hikes, quaint old plantation towns, and historic Hilo town with its museums, galleries, and theatres.
Accommodations
The Holomoku (pronounced HO-lo-MO-koo) Room is a oceanfront corner room with a panoramic view. It has a Queen sized bed, private entrance and lanai, and shares a bath with the Makalii Room.
Makalii Room (the ancient navigator who accompanied Hawaii Loa on his journey to the islands: pronounced MAH-kah-LEE-ee) is a oceanfront room with Queen sized bed, private entrance and lanai, and shares a bath with the Holomoku Room.

It is a separate building with private entrance, ocean and courtyard view. It will accommodate four persons.
