Built in 1897 by J.R. Carmichael, a prosperous manufacturer of buggies and carriages, The Carmichael House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This magnificient home is one of the finest examples of Queen Anne Victorian architecture in Georgia.

The Carmichael House is located in historic Jackson, Georgia, minutes from I-75, south of Atlanta.

Accommodations
All rooms have private phone and cable TV.
The Rose Suite is a downstairs two room suite with king size bed and fireplace in the bedroom, adjoining parlour with desk, queen sized sofa bed, wing backed chairs and fireplace. Private bath has claw foot tub with shower.
The Ivy Bedroom is located on the second floor of the Carmichael House. It has an anitque queen size bed, antique furniture and access to a balcony overlooking Jackson. This room has a private bath (shower only).
The Magnolia Bedroom is on the second floor. It has an anitque queen size four poster bed, antique furniture and access to a balcony overlooking Jackson. This room has a private bath (shower only), accomodations in the Magnolia Bedroom.
The Jasmine Bedroom is an upstairs bedroom with a private staircase. It has a queen size bed, original antique furnishing and a fireplace. The Jasmine Bedroom has a private bath with a clawfoot bath tub and shower.
The Dogwood Cottage - North: Surround yourself with charm like a grandmother's quilt in this lovely room with queen-sized bed, wicker furnishings, full bath with claw foot tub (with shower), fireplace, step out the side door and have coffee on the enclosed patio.
The Dogwood Cottage - South: Spacious light-filled room with a king size wrought iron bed, fireplace, tub/shower in large private bath. Step out the side door into the garden for morning coffee.

The expansive front porch of the Carmichael House was a focal point of turn-of-the-century southern life. Situated at the head of a main street in Jackson, The Carmichael Houses' front porch was and still is today a gathering spot for strolling neighbors on warm summer evenings. Gatherings in the light and airy Tea Room are a treat for the eye and the palette. Whether it's a casual cup of morning coffee, a wedding reception, a meeting, a dinner party or a classic southern style afternoon tea, the staff at The Carmichael House can help make the Tea Room a special southern treat for any event or occasion.
