The Dillard House

The Dillard House is situated in a picturesque valley in the little north Georgia mountain town of Dillard. The town is surrounded by the southernmost mountains in the Piedmont chain, with a view that is breathtaking. Early risers are often treated to the awesome sight of the mountain mist rising with the sun. The blue-violet of the surrounding mountains gradually appear out of this morning mist as if they were being painted while you watch.

We're just two hours northeast of Atlanta, GA, very near the North Carolina state line.

Accommodations
The Old Inn- Also known as "The Rock House" this quaint accommodation was the original Dillard House more than three-quarters of a century ago. The period furnishing will take you back to simpler times. Rooms are available on the upper section. Downstairs you'll find a large living room with stone fireplace . . . just the spot for evening reminiscing or small group meetings.
Oaklawn- Completely renovated during the spring of 1990, these rooms feature cable television, air conditioning and a front porch with rocking chairs for just "a-sittin' and a-rockin"!"
Meadows and Blueridge- Spacious, modern motel rooms all of which feature cable TV (with remote), twin queensize beds (most rooms) and incredible views of the ancient north Georgia mountains.
Suites- The perfect place for a romantic getaway or honeymoon. Each of these two special suites has separate bedrooms, kitchenettes, sofa beds, private balconies and hot tubs.
Eddie's Cottage- A quaint house with fireplace, jacuzzi, full kitchen, living room and two bedrooms. Sleeps 2-6 persons.
Helen's Cottage- This charming cottage is fully equipped with kitchen, dining room, living room and two bedrooms. Sleeps 2-8 persons.
North White House- Fully equipped house with kitchen, living room, dining room and two bedrooms. Sleeps 2-4 persons.
South White House- One bedroom, efficiency kitchen, sitting room and sunroom. Sleeps 2-4 persons.

Amenities
You'll find lots to do right on the property: Our stable offers horseback riding from just short, gentle, half-hour rides suitable for the young ones, all the way up to longer trip up to the top of one of our local mountains ( you'll be treated to an incredible view!), or you may prefer our overnight horseback/camping trips with delicious meals cooked at your camp site. You may inquire at the front desk or at the riding stable for further information on our horseback riding options. Regardless of the length of the ride you select, the mountain scenery is always beautiful. We also have, right on the grounds, carriage rides, hiking trails, an inviting swimming pool, tennis courts, horseshoe pitching and a free petting zoo for the kids that's chock full of fascinating farm animals. We can even arrange special white water rafting adventures or shopping tours for you if you like. There are also many other activities to do in the surrounding area.
