Hibiscus House was built in 1922 by Mayor David Dunkle during the Florida land boom in the heart of Old Northwood— a National Register Historic District in West Palm Beach, FL. Once badly neglected, the home has been lovingly restored and offers elegant surroundings for your comfort both indoors and out.

Peach Room
Originally the Master Bedroom, the Queen-size solid wood canopy bed dominates the room. Your private bath has the original large tub with shower. Step outdoors to your own secluded roof terrace.

Red Room
Queen-size bed set in fabric-lined alcove with tall wood headboard. Double French doors lead to your own large terrace overlooking our lush tropical pool area. Private bath has Jacuzzi with separate shower stall.

Green Room
This room has two sets of French doors opening onto your own cozy balcony overlooking our fish pond and tropical gardens. Queen-sized four poster rice bed and armoire in pine. Your private bath has a shower.

Burgundy Suite
Climb a private staircase and enter this lovely two-room suite. The sitting room has two comfortable chairs and ottomans. French door to a private terrace overlooking tropical pool area. Bedroom has a queen-size cherry four-poster bed. Two English claw-footed chairs flank the fireplace. New bathroom has a small balcony overlooking the gazebo and fishpond.

Garden Room
Walk past the hibiscus garden onto your own private deck and into the garden room. Queen-size four-poster bed and private bath with shower.

Meals: A full two-course breakfast is served each morning in our tropical gardens surrounding the pool or in the formal dining room. Beautiful china, silver and Waterford crystal are used daily to enhance our renowned delicious breakfasts.

From the airport: Head east on Belvedere Road until you dead-end at Olive Avenue. Turn left onto Olive and be prepared to take your first right. Turn right onto Pershing Way and go one block. Turn left onto Flagler Drive and go north on Flagler through downtown until you come to a stop at 30th Street. (Do not cross any bridges). Go left on 30th and go 2 blocks plus one more house to 501 30th Street. Hibiscus House is on your right.
From the south on I-95: Exit at Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard (Exit 53), turn east and go to Flagler Drive and turn left (north). Go north on Flagler through downtown until you come to a stop at 30th Street. (Do not cross any bridges). Go left on 30th and go 2 blocks plus one more house to 501 30th Street. Hibiscus House is on your right.
From the north on I-95: Exit at 45th Street (exit 54), turn left onto 45th Street and go east until you dead-end at Flagler Drive, turn right and go 15 blocks south to 30th Street. Turn right and go 1 block, plus one more house to 501 30th Street. Hibiscus House is on your right.
