The Smoakhouse Ranch

The Smoakhouse Ranch is a unique B&B inn built on the homestead site of a 19th century tobacco farm. Two new country cabin suites with full kitchens, and an additional guest room. Location
The Smoakhouse Ranch is a historic property, nestled in the center of the Best Florida's North Country has to offer. A crisp Fall and Winter. Flowering Springs and Milder Summers. Truly an Outdoorsmans Dream. Wander Aimlessly in our Woods (we've cleared trails for you). Thrill the Goats and Ranch pets with your attention. Visit the Gardens. Pick our unique Blackberries. Wander across the Bridge, over the Big Pond and enjoy the antics of the Frogs, Fish and Turtles. Harvest some Cat Fish for dinner. Putt through the little Golf Course.

We're in the Heart of Florida's Spring and River country. We can arrange a day on the Rivers, or you can tour a dozen huge Springs. Swim, SCUBA dive and explore. Bring your waverunner or rent a canoe. Day trip the Antique and Art shops of High Springs, Live Oak and Mayo - All within 30 miles, as well as 8 area parks!

Accommodations
Located on the Homestead site of an old family farm (some of the original structures still serve us), we have created a unique country place for you. There are three Private Lodge Suites, and an available guest room. Your comfort, and a pleasant introduction to the spirit of the Country are the key to each select furnishing.

Two Cottage Suites feature Full baths, Well planned modern kitchens, and all Amenities to allow self-catering if desired. Spacious bed and sitting rooms. A large covered deck. Central heat and A/C that you control. The Master Lodge features a sleeping loft. We have also included a VCR, TV and Stereo. The Earl Cabin recreates the actual hand-built, rough cypress, 1920 farm house, with all it's warmth, open family space and pioneer spirit. All of the amenities and comforts, in a very special place.

Meals
Awaken to fresh fruits of the season, pastries and bread. You'll find Florida juices, jams and jellies have been stocked in your refrigerator. There's cereal and two different coffees, or tea awaiting your command to brew. The perfect introduction to an unhurried day, in your own time, at your own pace.

Amenities
Ponder the Ancient, 100 foot tall Pecan trees. Sit on your own porch, or the swing, with a book (There's one written about this very place!). Take a dip in our Pool. Enjoy the use of our grills and campfire circle. End your day in the Spa, as the quiet of this place surrounds you. Retire to down covered beds or the sleeping lofts.
