Maison Orleans Bed'N Breakfast

This beautiful old federal front row house built in 1902 is furnished with lovely family pieces from the 30s and 40s which give you the feeling of grandmother's house. The living room features a working fireplace and guests are invited to use the beautiful French Quarter Style patio and enjoy the fountains and fish pond, located directly off the living room, where a complimentary breakfast is available each morning.

Your host: Bill Rouchell , a native of New Orleans, he moved to Washington early in 1988. He has become well-versed on Washington sites and is happy to advice guests of tourist attractions and recommend local restaurants, events and entertainment.

Location
Nestled between the "Capitol South" and "Eastern Market" metro stations, the house is a block and a half south of Pennsylvania Avenue and just a few doors from the police station. Eastern Market, a produce and farmers market, is just around the corner. The U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and the Mall are just six blocks away. Tourmobiles are available from these locations. Local bus service is located just around the corner. Many restaurants, banks, cleaners, and shops are located within easy walking distance.

The History of The House

Meals
Complimentary continental breakfast is available each morning.

Children: 15 years old and above, rollaway available for $10 per night in Raspberry and Anna Levesque Rooms only.

Smoking: The Maison Orleans is strictly a non-smoking B&B

Rates: $110-135 plus tax. All Rates are subject to DC Sales and Occupancy tax.
Studio apt is only available on a monthly basis for $1525.00 per month.

Payment/Deposit: A deposit of one half of the total charge due within seven business days is required to hold the reservation. Reservations arriving within the seven day period are required to FED X the deposit to hold the room. Balance in full is due upon arrival.

Deposits and final payments are accepted ONLY in cash, check, travelers checks or money order. No credit cards. A deposit of one night per room is required to hold reservation. Balance is due in full on arrival.

Cancellation Policy: There will be a penalty for any cancellation of accommodations which will result in the loss of the guest deposit. Deposits will be refunded ONLY if I can rebook the accommodation.

Arrival Time:
Please try and arrive within one hour of your stated arrival time. I work with those times in mind when planning my day/evening and if you are running late it's very important that you let me know so I can make arrangements for someone to let you in. I cannot guarantee that I'll be here if you show up several hours late, or for that matter several hours early. Don't forget to give me your arrival time here at the house, or at least call me 24 hrs prior if you don't know the time when you are making your reservation.
