It is also centrally located between the airports in Mobile, Ala., and Pensacola, Fla. A focal point of the grounds is a picturesque spring-fed pond. Don't be surprised if you see a great blue heron, geese, ducks, fox, raccoon or other wildlife taking advantage of the surroundings. There are two park benches positioned on a nearby rise overlooking the pond, providing a tranquil place to reflect and relax. Or relax in the breezy shade of the gazebo or on the hammock under the trees.
